Niacinamide is the active form of Vitamin B3. Niacinamide can offer a number of benefits in improving the appearance of aged skin, improving skin texture and the appearance of hyper pigmented spots with improvement in red blotchiness and the reduction of the severity of fine lines, photo damaged skin and improved skin moisturization.  Niacinamide stimulates collagen synthesis and production of ceramide, a lipid compound that contributes to the functional and structural integrity of the skin barrier. By improving barrier integrity, niacinamide helps the skin become more resistant to external irritants.  
 
N-acetyl glucosamine (NAG)  is considered to be a “skin identical ingredient”, meaning it’s found in our skin in the spaces between the cells, and it is used to maintain skin’s barrier abilities and reduce dryness. NAG can increase collagen production, increase moisture content of the skin, increase elasticity of the skin, increase exfoliation, and increase the speed of wound healing.  NAG has been shown to reduce hyperpigmentation and when combined with niacinamide it further increases its ability to reduce hyperpigmentation. N-Acetyl Glucosamine is an amino sugar that has skin exfoliating properties similar to alpha and beta hydroxyl acids without the irritation

Due to its high concentration of vitamins and minerals, which are intended to deliver nutrients and provide moisturizing properties.  Sea Kelp provides a smooth, velvety feel along with deep moisturizing and a cooling effect while applying to skin. A nice addition to a Serum, I must say!
